NIC Appliance

The NIC Appliance – Invea Network SDK is a high-performance network solution providing user with zero loss packet capture and transmission while sustaining low processor loads. Upon this complex solutions can be built using standard interfaces provided by Linux kernel or PCAP packet capture library. The appliance consists of preinstalled Linux operating syste, specifically the CentOS distribution which is based on well-known RedHat distribution. Unique performance parameters are guaranteed by COMBO acceleration card that provides besides the top performance also a possibility of simple reconfiguration that diverse it from standard network adapters.

• The NIC captures IP packets into host memory at full 10Gbps line rate.
• The receive/transmit performance is limited by the throughput of the PCI Express x8 bus (up to 15Mpps or up to 12Gbps).
• The near zero CPU load due to proprietary high performance zero copy API.
