COMBO cards - development and commercial FPGA boards
The new generation of COMBO cards is now available! It has been designed by our developers with ten-years experience in programmable hardware focused on wire-speed processing of network data. It reflects the newest trends and current needs in this area. The COMBO cards have been developed to accelerate time-critical and high-speed applications especially from the network area (1-10 gigabit network processing). The new generation of cards is described below:
- We introduce new powerful FPGA mothercard COMBO-LXT designed as an PCI Express x8 card of second generation of the COMBO cards. COMBO-LXT card is equipped with the XILINX Virtex5 XC5VLX110T, QDRII RAM and socket for DDR2 SODIMM memory. The interface add-on cards can by connected either through Low Speed Connectors or high speed Interface Connectors.
- We introduce new network interface add-on cards (COMBOI-10G2, COMBOI-1G4) with various network technologies support (1 Gbps copper/optical, 10 Gbps optical). The add-on cards provide physical network interfaces to the mothercards.

COMBO-LXT card is equipped with
- Virtex 5 - XC5VLX110T (alternatively LX55T, LX85T, LX155T can be used, as well as some FXT chips)
- Spartan XC3S1200E
- 2x QDR II RAM CY7C1513AV18
- SODIMM connector DDR2 memory up 2GB could be used
- 4x Low Speed Connector (LSC) throughput up 8Gb/s
- 2x InterFace Connector (IFC) throughput up 28Gb/s bidirectional (even higher with VIRTEX 5 FXT)
- Flexible Clock system
- Unique boot system for on the fly Virtex 5 reboot (without powerdown or PC reset)

Add-on cards
COMBOI-1G4 card is equipped with
- 4xSFP cages multimode, monomode, CWDM or copper transceivers can be used
- ID chip
- 2x Digital Temperature Sensor

COMBOI-10G2 card is equipped with
- 2xXFP cages multimode, monomode, CWDM or copper transceivers can be used
- ID chip
- Digital Temperature Sensors
